In 1977, the founders established an affiliated Company, Solemare Shipping Co. S.A., to handle the shipbroking activities related to Chartering and Sale & Purchase of dry bulk vessels. From the early years of its establishment, Solemare became one of the most active shipbroking companies in Piraeus. At times, acting as a Charterer for its own account, but mainly through its principal activity of shipbroking, Solemare introduced reputable Charterers and Owners from all continents to the Piraeus maritime community.

Guided by its hard earned integrity and reputation, Solemare became a very well respected shipbroking company specialising in the dry bulk sector by covering the majority of dry bulk vessel sizes, cargoes and seaborne trades.

The experience, knowledge and reputation established over the last decades, has created a network of valuable customers and business relationships with first class Owners, Charterers and Shipbroking Companies, both in Greece and worldwide.

Solemare is a member of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association (HSA) and its brokers are Fellows of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS).
