In 1977, the founders established an affiliate of the Company, under the name Solemare Shipping Co. S.A., to deal with all the aspects of shipbroking, including Chartering and Sale & Purchase activities in the dry bulk sector. From the early years of its establishment, Solemare became one of the leading shipbroking companies in Piraeus, Greece. At times, acting as a Charterer for its own account, but mainly through its principal activity of shipbroking, Solemare introduced reputable Charterers and Owners from all continents to the Piraeus maritime community.

Guided by its hard earned integrity and reputation, Solemare became a very well respected shipbroking company specialising in the dry bulk sector by covering all the main dry bulk vessel sizes, cargoes and seaborne trades.

The experience, knowledge and reputation established over the last decades, has created a network of valuable customers and business relationships with first class Owners, Charterers and Shipbroking Companies, both in Greece and worldwide.

Solemare is a member of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association (HSA) and its brokers are Fellows of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS).
